Helpful tips for designing emails

Overview

All emails sent from SmartrMail's drag-and-drop composer are responsive on all major devices and email clients. That said, here are a few tips worth following when designing your emails.

Logo

Upload a logo with a maximum width of 600px for the best results. See our guide on setting your Brand Kit for the full logo setup process.

Buttons

Contrasting buttons boost conversions in emails. Use bright or bold colors that match your store's branding, and pair them with a strong call to action — like "Buy Now" or "Add to Cart."

Fonts

Use different fonts for your header and body text. If you can't find the exact fonts your store uses, search Identifont to find similar available fonts. If you're not sure what fonts your store uses, reach out to our support team and we'll help you find out.

Footer

Important: to comply with CAN-SPAM legislation, your emails must include both a physical address for your business and an unsubscribe link in the footer. See our guide on setting your Brand Kit for how to set these up.
